Job Description

Factory Location: Dallas, TX
Compensation: $37.64/hour
Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked
Schedule: 12-hour shifts on a rotating 2/3/2 schedule
5:00am – 5:00pm; Day Shift
Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Utilize computer software and skills in daily activities
  • Continuous learning of specific skills required to maintain and operate AGV’s and supporting automation equipment
  • Identify, understand and troubleshoot AGV errors and malfunctions
  • Provide corrective maintenance including root cause analysis on AGV units that have stopped or are not operating correctly
  • Track issues/repairs and utilize escalation process
  • Troubleshoot inbound conveyor issues
  • Rework necessary pallets to pass through conveyor
  • Utilize tools and data in accordance with predictive maintenance activities
  • Execute Asset Strategies and provide feedback to AGV Platform
  • Communicate and work collaboratively with strong oral and written communication skills to various audiences as this role will require communication to all levels of the organization (i.e., via reports, e-mail, verbally, and/or in small/large group settings) in a team environment
  • May be required to perform other palletizer functions
  • May be required to train others in various palletizer functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience applying Basic PLC knowledge & troubleshooting
  • Experience applying basic electrical and mechanical principles to maintain motors, drivers, belts, and bearings
  • Experience applying Root Cause Analysis techniques
  • Experience troubleshooting or maintaining hydraulics
  • Ability to work various hours and shifts, including overtime
  • Advanced understanding and ability to troubleshoot, replace, and configure sensors and instrumentation
  • Proficient in understanding and ability to troubleshoot root cause, configure, and replace non-similar controls hardware, such as input/output modules, human machine interfaces (HMIs), safety relays, and other industrial controls
  • Advanced working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and interpret Allen-Bradley and other PLC programs to understand how the machine functions and be able to make recommendations and/or identify the root cause of any issues
  • Experience with maintenance and/or operation of Automated Guided Vehicles
  • Experience with photo eye sensors, proximity sensors, and encoders
