Job Description

As Project Manager on engineering department, you will manage the end-to-end (initiation, planning, execution, handover and close-out) activities on projects included but not limited to new equipment, infrastructure upgrades, equipment upgrades, introduction of new materials to the manufacturing network, recipes, etc. within supply chain. The project manager is responsible for coordinating the activities and to be executed for the project core team members in a matrix organization and keeping communicating with the key stakeholder about the project execution progress. 
 

Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
• Submit in the project management tool the project scope, business case, project charter, key risk, timing and cost estimation
• Manage the project budgets
• Lead meetings with appropriate stakeholders and periodic reporting of all projects
• Develop and maintain project timeline throughout project life cycle
• Orchestrate execution of cross-functional technical teams involved
• Perform risk assessment of the project and manage mitigations actions
• Coordinate with quality, R&D and engineering the different test to ensure the quality of the deliverables
• Development and execution of a detailed commissioning plan and startup process
• Coordinate work directly with OEM
• Organize escalation meeting with OEM
• Coordinate efforts with OEM, vendors, DM, etc.. to close punchlist items
• Manage the startup of the project organizing the performance reviews, escalations process, etc.
• Accountable to coordinate all project core team efforts
• Accountable for project results and events until the technical acceptance
• Main focal point of the project core team with the plant staff
• Present project reports to different stakeholders
• Proficient in managing the company Project Management Tool
• Gain formal approval for the different project documentation and retain the records appropriately
• Manage project documentation throughout the project life cycle inside the Capital Management Tool
• Coordinate and capture the lessons learned of the project
• Manage the startup and qualification of the project and ensure all the operational documentation is updated
• Support the verification phase of the project
• Ensure the tracking and completion of the punchlist items of the project
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various groups while leveraging external resources from 3rd party resources to deliver projects
• Facilitate project goals and success criteria with project team
• Meet with factory teams for acceptance of each stage of project to ensure proper close-out of each project in a timely manner
CAPEX PMO (only)
o Development of execution strategy, cost development, preliminary schedule, evaluating project and engineering alternatives
o Drive the due diligence process, oversee, and authorize RFP and resource procurement for equipment purchases, contractor bidding, contractor selection, contract negotiation and procurement
o Work with design groups for all specifications and drawing packages (IFBR, IFB, IFBC and IFR)
o Develop and implement bid cycle for all disciplines of projects
o Lead bid events on site
o Ensure safe, timely, and quality construction methods. Act as main focal point of the project core team with the plant staff
o Provide CAPEX forecasting in the project management tool

 

Qualifications

Key qualifications include:
•Project startup date committed within the project justification
•Expenditure forecast accuracy
•Project handover documentation approved by key stakeholders
•Project controls and record updated and documented on the project management tool
•Financial closure of the project with all assets under construction settled
•Technical acceptance approved
•Feedback from key stakeholders like factory manager, supply chain VPs among others
•Up to 60% domestic travel to visit plants and vendors/partners
•Sr. Level may be able to handle projects above $50MM CAPEX, big national launch or multisite (a
ll sites) project
