Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic will support Factory needs in regards to all equipment to achieve plan and improve on process efficiency and performance, support and actively manage troubleshooting and preventative maintenance program to maximize equipment availability, reduce unplanned stoppages, reduce energy and water usage
Reporting Location: Hope, BC
Compensation: $46.56 / hour
Shift differential: 6% – 8% of base hourly rate shift differential paid for applicable hours worked
Sign on/Relocation Bonus: $5000 ($2500 paid after 90 days and $2500 paid after 180 days)
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and night shift.5:55 am – 6:05 pm, 5:55 pm – 6:05 am

Responsibilities Include:
- • Ensures compliance to health, food safety and regulatory requirements of all products manufactured.
• Ensures the working areas and installations in the factory complies, operates and are maintained and working in accordance to the standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Maintain plant assets and equipment to enable 24/7 operation
• Troubleshoots, diagnose and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production packaging equipment.
• Completion of all scheduled Preventative, Predictive and Planned maintenance activities
• Analysis of failures to prevent re-occurrence, including creating new PM standards
• Accurate and timely entry of work order data into SAP work order management program
• Maintain and improve maintenance shop standards
• Respond to breakdown calls as needed
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Red Seal Certification
• Experience in Food Processing or Manufacturing environment would be considered an asset
• Experience with PLC, and VFD programming considered an asset.
• Welding and fabricating experience
• Machining equipment experience; Lathe and milling machine
• Electrical knowledge would be an asset
• Experience with CMMS & Process Software such as SAP
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
