Job Description
We are currently seeking a Natural Resource Specialist located in Southern California who reports to the Springs Manager – Natural Resources.
The Natural Resources Specialist (NRS) is a position within the Primo Brands (PB) organization requiring a professional with a water process background and the ability to navigate and build relationships in a complex and fast-moving environment. The NRS has the responsibility of assisting in and directly managing the existing water supplies, potential exploration for new supply opportunities, and to assist in the development of new sources. The NRS must be a “self-directed” individual who possesses good written and verbal communication skills, exhibit leadership qualities towards tactical and strategic thinking, and have developed technical skills. The NRS also must have a professional approach that is collaborative, organized, innovative, and customer focused.
Pay Range: $72,780 – $80,955. This role is eligible for an annual bonus.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Assist in the management of all existing spring and non-spring water sources within the geographic area inclusive of but not limited to reliable site operations, monitoring, security, and general site maintenance.
-This includes appearance, infrastructure cleanliness, equipment maintenance, instrument calibration, site sanitation in accordance with company standards, regulatory compliance, and fostering good relationships with landowners and communities.
-Maintain company provided equipment and tools for the highest level of readiness and organization.
• Aid in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements including periodic internal and external audits, technical guidance, and quality standards.
• Execute effective communications within PB, with regulators, with other relevant stakeholders, and within communities where we are located.
• As required, to aid in the identification, study, and development of all new spring and non-spring water supplies for factories in the geographic area of responsibility.
• Be responsible for financial management of individual tasks and budgets.
• Assist the project manager of larger projects, to effectively execute oversight of contractors.
• Manage and coordinate work of outside contractors.
• On call 24/7 to answer phone for water related emergencies.
• Travel to all spring sites each week in San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego counties
Qualifications
Key qualifications include:
• Minimum Three (3) years’ work experience water operations or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Project management skills.
• Personnel, team, and contractor management skills.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
• Organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work additional hours and flexibility to travel as required.
• Ability to work outdoors in both hot and cold environments.
• Engaging, positive attitude for high performance culture.
• Routine lifting 50-65 pounds during workday.
• Strong food safety, hygiene, and safe work ethic required.
• Strong maintenance and hand tool skills.
• Proficiency with electrical and mechanical process systems is value added.
