Job Description
The Quality Assurance Resource will have primary accountability for developing and leading the plant Quality environment for the production of bottled water. The QA Resource will develop and continuously improve plant procedures for monitoring and ensuring conformance to specifications for the food safety of our product.
Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
•Compliance and record keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing, sampling and sanitation activities.
•Set standards for plant hygiene / housekeeping – audit ready state
•Oversee the tracking, trending, and investigation of all factory consumer complaints. Become a link between hygiene (micro) and complaint investigation / education
•Assist with supervision of QA technicians.
•Tracking, analyzing, and leading initiatives for all quality and customer complaint issues within the plant.
•Provide leadership within plant for company Quality initiatives and Quality audits.
•Manage budgeting, purchasing and inventory of plant operating supplies such as filters, chemicals and lab supplies.
•Monitor over fill and water usage reporting.
•Provide development opportunities to direct reports through cross-training initiatives and setting clear objectives.
•Confirm quality – routine audit of quality checks performed by Team Members
•Respond to Andon calls; manage hot spots for quick, efficient resolution
•Work to continuously improve and maintain internal audit programs (micro, hygiene walks, glass audits, pest audits, GMP walks, etc.)
•Prepare, participate, and follow up on internal and external audits

•Lead the HACCP, Food Safety and Crisis Management Committees
Qualifications
Key qualifications include:
•Prior QA experience (3-5 years) with beverage or other food products.
•Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biological sciences. Other technical degree may be considered.
•Microbiology Laboratory management
•Manufacturing line inspection
•Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, HACCP, sanitation, and hygienic design
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
•Person must have sound administrative and computer skills.
•Person must be self-directed, assertive, be able to process information and provide an effective follow-up process on objectives, possess the maturity commensurate with being an effective resource.
